Condition: A large clear area creating a mild soiling. Colors are great and vibrant. Slightly trimmed margins, affecting the seals. Beautiful visible wood grain, with Mica. Very good overall condition.
Notes: Beautiful print from Ando Hiroshige, from the famous 100 views of Edo master serie. Original 1st Deluxe edition by Uoya in 1856, with Mica in the bushes area near the island. A must have for any fan of Ando Hiroshige or to complete the 100 views of Edo Serie.
More about this print: The Robe-Hanging Pine of the title, which we see at the tip of a small spit of land jutting into Senzoku Pond, still survives. Legend associates it with the great medieval Buddhist leader Nichiren, who supposedly stopped by the pond to rest and used the tree to hang his kesa, a sashlike garment worn by Buddhist priests.
