Condition: Slightly toned. Matte burn from prior mounting. Remnant of acidic tape on the upper section of the print, creating an oily stain visible on the front of the print. There is a very old restored tear, probably made and restore in the 1930's. Very good colors and impression. Good overall condition.
Notes: This Chuban print is part of a rare series of print that bears the Do watermark on the upper right in this particular print, as seen on pictures.
Doi's earliest "primary printer" was Yokoi (YOKOI, Giichi; 1894-c1980) who produced prints continuously for Doi from the period of about 1936 to 1965. The prints made from the association Doi /Yokoi / Harada were done between 1936 until 1956.
Pictures: Pictures are taken outdoor, in the shade, to reflect true colors, without any enhancements of any kind. The last picture is taken indoor, with a light behind the print, to reveal the exact paper grain, holes if any, or other possible flaws.
