More about this print: The woman holding the torch in this 1890 design is serving a lord who has a strange disease that can only be cured with the blood of unborn children. Here the old hag presumably is checking on a victim that is being suspended from the ceiling of her house. An echo from Yoshitoshi's gruesome - and possibly banned - 1885 diptych "The Lonely House on Adachi Moor"
