Condition: Some toning. Glued at the 4 corners on a white carton paper. Very good overall condition.

Notes: We were able to retrieve from a private collection about 20 rare original work from Katsushika Hokusai, including 5 preparatory drawings. This is one of them. (The name of the collection is to remain anonymous as per the family's request.)

This hand drawing is unsigned but attributed to Hokusai, from the Litsu Period. It is now referenced in the online Catalogue Raisonne among many other hand drawings, as visible HERE

Notes: This unique preparatory drawing was used most likely for a design for a painting / scroll.

The drawing could be removed from its white board, but the paper is so thin that it seems safer to keep it as is.

Pictures: Pictures are taken outdoor, in the shade, to reflect true colors, without any enhancements of any kind. The last picture is taken indoor, with a light behind the print, to reveal the exact paper grain, holes if any, or other possible flaws.
